Charles Mead BA MSc

Charles is a Director of YSC, where he has worked for 5 years. He originally worked as a corporate psychologist for RHR Inc. Subsequently, he held a variety of senior HR positions in J. Walter Thompson, Booz. Allen & Hamilton and Nabarro Nathanson. For seven years he was European Personnel Director for Sotheby's and from 1995 to 1998 he was Head of HR for Coutts & Co. He is a non-executive director of Adler Manufacturing.

Building on his own experience of and passion for coaching, he is YSC's lead consultant in training executives in coaching skills. In his work with YSC, Charles' main professional interests are the use of coaching in performance management, motivation and individual development in professional and financial services organizations. He has been co-leader of and coach on Barclay's Challenge Leadership Programme for the last three years. Charles' main professional interests are in performance management and the issues of leadership and motivation in professional and financial services firms. In his work with YSC, Charles' main professional interests are in coaching leaders around performance management of individuals and teams and the issues of leadership and motivation in the financial services and FMCG sectors.

Charles lives in London with his wife Clare and their three teenage daughters. Outside work he enjoys sailing, watching rugby, reading history for lessons in leadership and 'coaching' his daughters.
